For when only the best will do, and you need professional specialised measurement!
The METRAHIT IM XTRA multimeters, made in Germany, are portable, extremely rugged multimeters designed for use in the field. They’re suitable for maintenance, service and diagnosis at electric machines, drive units and systems, for example in automotive, energy and automation applications.
METRAHIT IM XTRA multimeters are all-in-one instruments: insulation tester, milliohmmeter, short-circuited coil tester and universal multimeter. They’re ideal for safety testing and diagnosis at electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as all types of electric machines.
The METRAHIT IM XTRA make it possible to test coils for short-circuits within an inductance range of 10 μH to 50 mH (at 100 Hz) in combination with the optional COIL Adapter 50mH. This range corresponds to motors in accordance with DIN standards with power ratings of roughly 15 kVA to 80 MVA. A universal adapter for motors with medium power ratings is in preparation.

Delta Pro are committed to helping you find the right piece of equipment, with the right specifications.
Whether you're looking for a multimeter, clamp meter, leakage tester, insulation tester, thermal imager, or other specialty meter, we have what you need.
And in the unlikely event that we don't, we can most likely source it for you!
We've teamed up with some great delivery drivers to make sure you receive your order as quickly as possible. We know you want your order fast, and we do everything we can to make sure that happens.
Our founder Steve is an electrician himself, and he says there's nothing worse than having dodgy tools and equipment in your toolbox. (We in the office however feel confident there are in fact things much MUCH worse. Like you know, being chased by a crazy, angry bear; or being a hit by speeding bus; or being zapped by 240 volts of electricity while standing bare foot in a puddle... But you know, he's the boss, so we'll go with what he says). Which is why he has made sure that every brand and model stocked in our store is a brand with a solid reputation for quality products.
Shop risk free, and be confident in your choice! If you're not 100% sure you've ordered the best piece of equipment for your needs (although this is unlikely, particularly as you have our easy-to-use search filtering system and Steve's help if you need it!), then you're welcome to return any of our items within 30 days, for a full refund.
(See our Returns Policy for more info).
Delta Pro are authorised dealers for all our brands, which means you get the full manufacturer's warranty on all products. This is a minimum of 12 months unless stated otherwise based on the product.
That's right, Steve has been using multimeters and clamp meters since he was 15 years old. He's got personal experience using a large range of different products, and is pretty well versed on all the different features and functions and what they mean. If you're not sure exactly what you're after, or if you have questions on any of the products, feel free to get in touch. Steve is always happy to chat. Call us on 1300 678 180, email us at info@deltapro.com.au or use the live chat!
Look at what our customers are saying -
"I wanted to get a multimeter for my son, but had no idea where to start. Your home and hobbyist collection really helped." Bob W, NSW
Still not convinced? Find out more More about us and meet Steve in a slightly awkward video (hey, he's an electrician, not movie star!).
And, at the risk of repeating ourselves... did we mention expert advice and support?

Confused?
Overwhelmed?
It’s one thing to know what basic functions you require of a multimeter - Voltage, Current, Resistance, Capacitance, Temperature etc. It’s another thing to nut through all the specifications and understand exactly what your multimeter is capable of.
A lot of the time you only need to know the course parameters of each measurement, e.g. up to 1000A current, 600V voltage, 1 mega-ohm resistance etc. But sometimes, particularly in industrial applications, you need to know how your multimeter performs a particular test, how accurate the displayed results are, and whether or not the multimeter will be safe and reliable for the intended application.
This is where terms such as count, range, resolution, basic accuracy, IP rating, CAT rating, True RMS, crest factor and others come into play.
If you are not familiar with these terms and how they relate to multimeter measurement, Steve has put together a series of blogs to explain in laymen’s terms what each mean.
